This 40ft 1989 Mercedes Benz Motorhome Conversion is about 90% complete. You can complete the conversion and get it registered or it would make an awesome guest house/spare bedroom/flat for visitors or family members.
All that is needed in order for registration are cooking facilities plus (either gas lines for cooktop or electrical line for electric cooktop), seats and seat belts for the number of passengers you require to carry. There is no plumbing in the bus.
I have lived in the bus with the wife and a 2 and 4 year old for a few months. It is now time to sell this unique bus motorhome as we are in need of extra money for a home deposit.
I have lined and insulated the roof and walls. There is a double bed in the back and a set of bunks for small kids. In the living area there is a 4 seater dining table, kitchen cupboards, pantry and benchtop and a timber lounge. There is also a toilet room (no toilet) and a desk. I have made a play area for our 2 kids at the front but this may need to be taken out in order to fit seats. There is flooring throughout the bus with numerous storage areas.
The Mercedes runs like a dream. We recently drove 2000km from Western NSW with a rego pass and it went extremely well. The Auto gearbox is smooth and fuel economy is surprisingly good coming in at about 20-25L/100KM.
